How do I reset my WordPress password?

WordPress allows you to reset your password at any time with ease. In this article, we'll show you 3 methods to reset your WordPress password.

Reset WordPress Password by Email

Access the login interface for your administration WordPress site on the link https://votrenomdedomaine/wp-login.php and click on "Forgot your password?".

Enter the username or email address associated with your WordPress account and click the "Generate a password".

Check your email inbox. You should receive an email from WordPress containing the link to reset your password.

Reset WordPress password via PHPMyAdmin?

Log in to your cPanel account Access the section Databases, then click on the icon phpMyAdmin

Click on the WordPress database from the list, then on wp_users

Under user_login, you will see the list of registered users. For the user whose password you want to reset, click on Edit.

Under the user_pass column, erase the value on the far right and replace it with what you want the password to be, then in the dropdown menu, select MD5

At the bottom of the page, click on Execute.

Reset WordPress Password via Softaculous

Log in to your cPanel account Scroll down to the section Software and click on Softaculous Apps Installer

On the Softaculous page, click on the box Installations.

On the right side of the installation line, click the pencil icon to edit installation details.

Go to the Admin Account section on the Installation Details page. Enter the administrator username and the administrator password for which you want to change the password.

Scroll down the page and click Save Installation Details
