To modify the DNS zone for your domain name on your cPanel hosting, follow the steps below.
What is a DNS Zone
A DNS zone is a DNS management space administered by the domain name owner. In this sense, a DNS zone can be considered an administrative unit; it is neither the same as the term domain nor a specific name server. A DNS zone includes at least one domain and, if applicable, other subdomains. However, subdomains can also be implemented as separate zones.
Manage a DNS Zone on cPanel
1. Log in to your cPanel 2. Go to the Domains section and click on the Zone Editor
menu 3. Click the Manage button next to the domain whose DNS zone you wish to modify
In the next menu, you can add new records, modify existing ones, or reset the DNS zone.
Add New Records
If you want to add a new record, click on +Add record:
You can then choose the type of record you want to add: AAAA, CAA, CNAME, DMARC, MX, SRV and TXT

To modify existing records, choose the record you want to edit from the list of existing DNS records. Click on Edit
Enter the values you need and click on SaveRecord to save the changes
Reset the DNS Zone
You can reset your domain's DNS zone to a default zone. In this case, the system will erase all changes you have made to your zone records in this interface or in the DNS zone of your client area. Before resetting your zone file, make sure to note all the changes you wish to keep. To reset the zone, click on Manage in front of a domain name, click the Action button and then Reset Zone
