How to configure a domain name on Google Workspace?

What is Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is a suite of business communication and collaboration services. Depending on the edition, it provides domain-based email, storage and productivity tools. Check the selected plan’s features and limits before ordering.

How to configure a domain for Google Workspace

Before changing mail DNS, ensure that your domain name (or .ma domain name) is verified in Google’s Admin console and the required users are ready. Then follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your cPanel.
2. Open the section Domains and click Zone Editor.

1. Click Manage.
2. If this is the authoritative DNS zone, review the existing MX records. Preserve a copy and replace them only as required by your migration plan, then click Add Record.

5. Add the values supplied for your organization. The following is the older supported MX set:

6. Save, allow for DNS caching and test sending and receiving with an external mailbox. Verify cPanel remote mail routing when Google hosts your mail. Do not assume configuration is complete until the tests succeed.

Check the result and troubleshoot

For new configurations, Google currently specifies smtp.google.com as the MX destination. Older ASPMX values remain supported where they already work. Prepare accounts, sender authentication and external tests before changing an active mail service.
