How to change the password of my cPanel email address?

A cPanel mailbox password is changed separately from the main cPanel account password.

Choose the mailbox

Sign in to cPanel and open Email Accounts.
Find the complete email address and click Manage.

Save the new password

In the mailbox’s security section, enter a unique password or use the generator. Save through the confirmation button.

Update devices

Replace the password on phones, mail clients and applications using the address. Update any WordPress SMTP configuration that uses this mailbox too.

Check receiving and sending

Test Webmail first, then each important application. If Webmail works but the client does not, check secure settings in Connect Devices and SMTP authentication. Do not share the password in a ticket.
