Transferring a domain name from your current provider to Cap Connect is very simple. You can easily do this by following the steps below:
1. Unlock the domain with your current provider and obtain the transfer code.
2. Order the transfer of your domain name on the Cap Connect website.
3. Enter your domain name and click the “Search” button.
4. Click on “Transfer your domain.”
5. Enter your domain name in the first line and paste the transfer code in the second line.
6. Select the options you want to associate with your domain and click the “Continue” button.
7. Verify that your order is correct and click “Place Order.” You can then proceed to payment.
8. If the transfer code and the email address of the domain holder contact are correct, an email will be sent to the domain owner’s email address.
9. To speed up the transfer, we recommend confirming the email received.
Notes:
- If the email is rejected or there is no response after 5 days, the transfer will be canceled. However, you can restart the transfer without having to pay the service fee again. To do this, log in to your client area, and send your request via support ticket. We will then restart the transfer.
- If the email is confirmed, the transfer will proceed to the next stage within 24 hours.
- An email will be sent to your previous provider.
- Your previous provider has 5 days to accept or reject your transfer request. If they do not respond, the email will be automatically validated after 5 days.
- If your current provider rejects your transfer request, unfortunately, the transfer cannot be completed. You can contact your provider to understand the reason for the rejection.
- The transfer of a .ma domain name will take 5 days.
- During the transfer, your website and emails will not go offline. The configurations remain intact.
- You can change DNS before transferring a domain name. DNS changes take 24 hours and ensure all your services are with Cap Connect.
