To set up your email pro account on Android, please follow the steps below: 1- On your device's screen, find the Gmail and tap it.
Configuring Email PRO on Android with Gmail
- If you do not already use another account in the app, tap Add email address. Otherwise, click on the three horizontal lines in the top left, then on Add account.
- On the Set up email screen, choose Other and tap it.
4- On the next page of your Gmail app, enter your email address, then click next.
5- Choose the type of account you want: either the IMAP protocol or POP3. Note: We recommend choosing the IMAP protocol which allows you to retrieve your emails without deleting them, unlike the POP3 protocol. Deletion after download depends on the POP client’s settings. IMAP generally suits synchronization across several devices.
6- Enter your password, then click next.
7- On the next page, enter the details for your incoming server, then click next. IMAP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (e.g., mail.capconnect.com). IMAP Port: 993 (You must first have a domain name or .ma domain name)
8- Enter the details for the outgoing server, then click next. (SSL) SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (e.g., mail.capconnect.com). SMTP Port: 465 (SSL)
9- Finally, customize your options and settings by disabling the options you do not need and click next.
Your account will be automatically synchronized, configured, and added to your Gmail app. You can now view, send, forward, and manage your emails from your Android mobile device without needing your computer.
Check the result and troubleshoot
The Gmail app and Gmail in a browser have different features for external accounts. Use IMAP over a secure connection in the app. A one-time message import is not ongoing synchronization.
