WordPress Manager to install and manage your WordPress site

WordPress Manager is a new tool added to Softaculous to install and manage your WordPress site directly on your cPanel hosting without the need to log into your administration panel.

With all its new options, WordPress Manager allows users to make changes and perform necessary updates to their sites in one interface.

Log into your cPanel account

In the Software section, click on Softaculous Apps Installer

In Softaculous, click the WordPress Manager icon at the top of the page.

You can also access it by clicking the WordPress icon next to the WordPress installation you want to manage from the All Installations page, as shown in the screenshot below.

Automatic Login to WordPress Admin Panel

You can easily log into your WordPress admin console with a single click, without entering your username or password, as shown in the screenshot below.

Updating Your WordPress Installation

If an update is available for your installation, you will notice the “Upgrade Now” button next to the version. Simply click the button, and you will be redirected to the update page.

Automatic Update Settings for WordPress

Select the automatic update settings for your WordPress. You can choose from the following options. Softaculous will perform updates according to your choice:
1. Do not update automatically
2. Update to minor versions only (i.e., 5.5.1 will be updated to 5.5.x, not 5.6.x)
3. Update to the latest available major and minor version (i.e., 5.5.1 will be updated to 5.5.x until a new major version is available, then 5.6.x when available)

Simply choose the desired update option, and it will be saved automatically. You will then see a success message.

Automatic Update for Plugins and Themes

With this feature, you can enable or disable automatic updates for your installed WordPress plugins or themes. If you enable automatic updates, it will be checked every 24 hours and applied if available. Simply press the Enable / Disable button, and it will be done without your intervention.

Enable/Disable Search Engine Visibility

The Search Engine Visibility option is very important, especially if you are still developing your site. You can disable this option if you do not want search engines to index your incomplete site, or enable it if the site is ready. Click on the Enable / Disable button, and you will see a save message.

Enable/Disable WordPress CRON

By default, WordPress has the CRON command enabled. This command performs various tasks on your site. Sometimes, with large sites, it can consume your hosting resources. If you wish to enable/disable this wp-cron setting, you can do so at your convenience.

Enable/Disable WordPress Debug Mode

WordPress Debug Mode (disabled by default) is very useful if you encounter issues on your site and want to understand the cause. You can enable/disable Debug Mode from Softaculous WordPress Manager. Simply click the Enable / Disable button as shown in the screenshot below, and your choice will be saved.

Note: It is not recommended to leave Debug Mode enabled on your production site. On a production site, disable Debug Mode once you have finished debugging.

Change Your WordPress Site URL

The URL of your website can be changed from WordPress Manager. If you have changed the URL of your site from your WordPress admin panel to an invalid one and can no longer access your panel, you can restore it from WordPress Manager.

Modify the “Website URL” field and click the “Save Site Information” button. The URL will also be updated in your WordPress database.

The name of your website can be changed from WordPress Manager. Change the “Site Name” value in the field and click the “Save Site Information” button. The site name will also be updated in your WordPress database.

Change the password for any user account on your WordPress site from the Softaculous WordPress Manager page.

Add Plugins

The “Add Plugins” section allows you to search for and install any plugin from wordpress.org. The selected plugins are automatically activated upon installation.

Installed Themes

The “Installed” section shows the list of all themes installed in your WordPress installation. You can enable/disable and delete themes accordingly. WordPress Installed Themes

The “Add themes” section allows you to search and install any theme from wordpress.org. The selected themes are automatically activated and replace the previously activated theme during installation. WordPress Add Theme

Add a User

Do you want to add new users such as editors or authors to your blog?
Softaculous’ WordPress Manager comes with a built-in tool to add WordPress users with different roles.

1- Go to the user management tool

3- Select the user role you want to add and fill in the required details

4- Click on Add User. That’s it, the new user has been added to your WordPress.
