What is WHOIS?
WHOIS is a query and response protocol used to retrieve information about a domain name, such as contact details, registration and expiration dates, status, and DNS servers. Typically, it is a publicly accessible database.
How do I change the WHOIS information for my domain name?
Log in to your client area at https://client.capconnect.com/clientarea.php.
In the “Domains” menu, click on “My Domains,” or click directly on the “Domains” tab on the homepage.
Click on “Manage Domain” next to the relevant domain.
In the management tab, click the “Contact Info” button.
Make your changes and click on “Save Changes.”
Please note that updating your information in the WHOIS database can take up to 48 hours.
If you change the full name, organization, or email address associated with the domain, ICANN will require confirmation of these updates. You will receive an email containing a link to confirm your approval. This email will be sent to the address listed on the domain and the account email address. If these addresses are identical, only one email will be sent.
The new updates will only take effect once you click on the confirmation link in the email.
