DOMAIN NAMES

How to change the registrant of a .ma domain name?

The procedure for transferring a .ma domain name between registrants differs from transferring it between service providers. Changing the registrant of a domain name involves a new registration of the domain. Both the old and new registrants must sign the following document:

Transfer Request Form for “.ma” Domain Names

This form confirms the willingness of both parties to transfer the domain name.

We are responsible for submitting the completed and signed document to the National Domain Name Registry .ma (ANRT).

The ANRT will review the request, and in some cases, may request proof of identity from the current registrant. The current registrant must provide identification to ensure the processing of the request.

Once the request is approved, the registrant’s name is updated, and the domain name is re-registered on the date the request is accepted.

According to ANRT Decision DG/N°12/14, the cost of this operation is equivalent to the cost of registering a new domain name. If the domain name is registered for multiple years, no refund will be provided for the remaining years.
