In some cases, you might encounter email delivery issues when sending your messages. You draft your email, personalize it, select your recipient(s), but the delivery is not ensured as expected.
Generally, failed email delivery occurs for various reasons, including the recipient’s mail server, the frequency of emails received on the recipient’s server, issues with the IP address, or problems with the SMTP server (responsible for sending emails), among others.
Common Email Delivery Issues
Authentication Issues: If you’re using SMTP authentication, such as SSL, double-check your username and password.
SMTP Settings: The issue might simply be with the email settings you’ve configured. Ensure you are using the correct settings.
Expired Domain Name: If your email address is linked to your domain name, confirm that your domain name is not expired.
Port Issues: The SMTP server typically uses port 25, but you can use alternative ports such as 587 or 465 if some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) block port 25.
Antivirus or Firewall Issues: Ensure that your firewall, proxy service, or antivirus software has an exception rule for the SMTP service.
Blocked IP Addresses: Add the recipient’s IP address to the whitelist and ask them to do the same for your IP address if it’s not already listed.
IP Frequency: If you frequently send emails to a specific recipient and they classify them as unwanted, the system may temporarily block your IP address, treating your emails as spam.
