DOMAIN NAMES

How to activate ID protection for my domain name?

Enabling the ID protection for a domain name is an option primarily used to hide the contact details associated with the domain (Registrant, Administrative contact, and Technical contact). You can order the ID Protection option during your order.

NOTE: Despite the high demand for this service for .ma domain names, this option is not yet implemented by the ANRT. Therefore, the registrant, administrative, and technical contact details are displayed publicly on the Whois registry through a simple search.

Activate the ID protection for your domain name during the order

  • Once you have selected your domain name, you will be directed to the “Domain Configuration” page.
  • Protection ID
  • Check the ID Protection option and complete your order by clicking on Continue.

Activate the ID protection for your already registered domain name

If you forgot to add this option during your initial order, you can still order the protection option via your client area by following these steps:

Domain Client

  • Access the domain for which you want to order the option.

Addon Domain

  • In the Manage menu on the left, click on the Addon tab and then click on “Buy Now”.

Protection ID

  • Complete your purchase.
Updating WHOIS information after activating the ID protection takes some time on certain services. Therefore, it is recommended to add this option during your domain registration order.
